who need updates

Amanda has gone off to NYC for a couple of days. We did not do much last weekend; either Amanda studied while I worked or we goofed off. Amanda did start a new fitness program.

We watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Friday night before Amanda’s mom and sister took of for Philadelphia. I thought it was a good movie, although I did not find Jim Carrey’s character especially likeable. Obviously, it must have many redeeming qualities if I still thought it was good even though I did not particularly care for one of the main characters.

Alright, enough of an update. Here is a picture of the male angelfish and their last batch of eggs (before they were eaten). Maybe they will try again.

So, lots of things have been going on… had did with Andrew, Amanda’s former boyfriend from high school, and his girlfriend (Emily?), Match day last Thursday, an exciting moss walk complete with missing person last Saturday, etc. etc., but there has been no time to update. I still have gobs of pictures to post to our gallery as well.

Since I will update the gallery “later,” here is a very touched up picture from the Greens restaurant in SF.

Amanda got her first choice for residency at the University of Washington (she is the bomb as we all know), so we will be moving out to Seattle in few months! She will be at the Harborview Medical Center.

It looks like Amanda has had a tiring day…

evil clown fish

I am watching a coworker’s mini-reef tank here at work while he is off on a business trip, and there is much evilness going on inside. There is a shocking amount of life therein (crabs, mini shrimp, weird sea plants, snails, one large shrimp, weird rainbow colored worms, coral things, gobs of very small unidentified few-celled creatures, blah blah blah), but only two actual fish (both clown fish). One is much larger than the other, and beats him up constantly. Our four goldfish at home totally luv each other, even tho Three is like thirty times more massive than the rest. The clown fish also does not allow the smaller one to eat any food, which is totally not nice. I may have to catch him in a net while I feed the other one.

The evil one is in the upper left corner. He is actually significantly bigger although they look the same size in this picture. Most of the non-sessile lifeforms are hiding or not otherwise visible in this view.

OK, break over, time to wrap some stuff up so Amanda and I can go home to the little piglet.

$1000000000

Last fiscal year, my company finally became a one billion dollar company (in revenues, that is). I am not sure of the exact date of founding, but I think it took twenty years. WalMart took twenty-three, but I do not think we will reach WalMart levels of revenue.

The company had a big celebration yesterday (which means stuff like cake, finger foods, and champagne or beer or the like) for the event. Our celebration in Ithaca was delayed until today because of the snowy weather.

We had a cake and other assorted things made up:

Silly, eh? The champagne was good tho.
