Today is Amanda’s expected due date, but the progeny is still remaining elusive. We went to Group Health for a non-stress test (a rather amusing name) and an ultrasound to verify all was well. Which apparently it is. I could have found out the gender of the progeny, but at this point I might as well wait. Although I think it might be male considering the RN’s reaction and later comments. But again maybe she was trying to fake us out.
We also found out the useful information that we should call them before we show up at the L&D floor. We were just going to show up. The RN also told us where we could park for free during the delivery. Handy.
I am at work, but I will return home shortly to avoid any traffic. Work is getting me down today, so I probably should start looking for other opportunities. I intended to reconsider life when the progeny arrived anyway. Things are complicated by the fact that I will be home for child care in July (at least for looking for work), but it is never too early to start looking really.

The progeny is being evasive and does not want to come out. There have been no weblog entries. Perhaps I have already become boring. OK maybe I always have been.
We did not do much last weekend. Went for a walk in the arboretum. Amanda went to yoga. I worked. We ate out a bunch of times since that will be much harder really soon now.
We had some kale from our garden. It was tasty. I feel a little bad for eating it after it made it through the winter, but such is life.
I need to send a bunch of stuff to New York State because the bastards are auditing us (taxes from years ago). Not nice.
