Ya, it has been a long time again between entries. Lots has happened since then. We all know that probably will never get updated in this weblog. But what happened today?
Been really busy again. I had my last class the last Tuesday, and had my big project presentation today. I still have some things to finish up with the project and have one exam left. Graduation is next Sunday. I picked up my graduation gear today; I have a hood! Sweet! I also took the last one, and I do not think all my classmates have gotten their stuff yet. But I think there are only eight or so people in my department finishing this quarter.
Five people got shot today in Seattle. It’s like the wild west outside nowadays.
We went camping with AC and MC and family at Deception Pass over Memorial Day weekend. It was fun and the weather cooperated… at least it didn’t rain until we left. I took at great picture of the Kai flying his gecko kite on the beach.
My main computer died right before we left on the trip. Inconvenient, still I still have a lot of academic work to do.
It was a tres huevos day today. Egg layers clockwise from the top: Comet, Brûlée, and Rock. Rock is on a ten day streak.
We went to the Seattle Tilth Edible Plant Sale last Saturday. I got twelve tomato plants that I have not planted yet. The Kai spent the night at his grandmother’s, so Amanda and I went out to dinner at St. Dames and watched the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Exciting.
Speaking of plants, the Columbia City Farmer’s Market has started up again for the season, but I was not able to go last week, but probably will make it tomorrow.
We went to an Amanda work function on Sunday; one of her coworkers was having a going-away party. Earlier in the day, we also went to IKEA after my usual project meeting in the morning and Amanda and Kai’s usual Sunday bfast at Geraldine’s.
I had a class tonight (Artificial Intelligence). I crushed the midterm I had last week. Woot.
I had a midterm in AI tonight. It presumably will be the last midterm in my graduate career.
We definitely have animals in the attic/roof near the front of the house. Birdies, it sounds like. I had tried to patch the entry before little ones started living there, but it is too hard to get on the front roof. Hard for me, that is; I do not have a fondness for heights, and climbing is not my specialty. There really isn’t a good place to put a ladder, and going out one of the front windows is a little tricky for a clumsy person like me.
