2013 MAY 26 : SUNDAY

// 2013.05.26 20:56 //

After another time of holding the Bonasaurus for over an hour and her not sleeping, we decided to go to Gerladine’s Counter for bfast. I got my typical order of the Avocado and Pepperjack Omellete with Sourdough Bread. And an English Breakfast Tea.

Back at home, something happend while the Bon was sleeping. I have already forgotten. Amanda definitely worked on swapping the beds in the progenies’ rooms.

After the Bon’s nap, we went to Costco to get supplies. Upon leaving, the person waiting for our parking spot said that she would take our shopping cart, so I left it by the car. Of course, no one elase knew that, and as Amanda said leaving the cart made us look like “jerks”. Perhaps I should have explained it to them. Hopefully I don’t meet any of them later while looking for a job or something.

Costo has stopped serving their churros in the restaurant area! The villians!

After a short time back at home, Amanda and the Kai left to pick up her mom from the airport; she had been on vacation in Arizona. I put the Bon down for her afternoon nap, and when they got back I left to go to City People’s.

I returned with a bunch of bamboo stakes for the tomatoes and other garden uses. I had also found a suitable japanese maple to put over Piglet’s final resting place.

We swapped the beds in the kids rooms when I got back.

For dinner, we had penne with white cheesy sauce and asparagus, field roast with mushrooms and onions, and red wine.

Maybe There Will Be A New Weblog Golden Age

// 2013.05.24 20:39 //

Even though I deleted my previous 750 Words entries from this weblog as mentioned in a previous post, I can use those posts in the weblog if I simply write my weblog entry as part of my 750 daily words. That seems like cheating, although the only real rule is that one writes 750 words. The previous entry was part of my daily writing.

2013 MAY 24 : FRIDAY

// 2013.05.24 20:34 //

Amanda had the day off today because we originally intended going camping this holiday weekend, but we cancelled those plans because of poor piglet piglet’s health. We had a breakfast of french toast made with leftover Columbia City Bakery baguette (delicious fresh and as french toast), then Amanda took the Kai to school. She stopped at the Rainier Veterinary Hospital to pick up medicines for piglet and Lowes to get painting supplies.

She then proceed to paint Lonan’s room. Lonan had previously picked up a color a long time ago, but we had never gotten around to actually painting it. It is kind of a grayish blue color; Amanda described it as “robin’s egg blue”. Are robin’s eggs blue? I dunno. It is not the color I would have chosen, but he liked it well enough. At least he better like it when the room is finished.

I watched the Bonasaurus and piglet. I did pot the remaining two tomato plants that I obtained from the Seattle Tilth Edible Plant Sale. These two are in containers while the other tens plants I put in the ground a couple of weeks ago. They are both determinants: Glacier and Japanese Black Trifele. I guess I will see how they work out.

Amanda took the Bon to Lonan’s school for lunch while I went for a run at Seward Park. The went surprisingly well considering I had not run in two or so weeks, although now my right knee hurts quite a bit. There was a short rather plump woman there who was also running (wearing a down vest of all things) who completely dusted me, which was even more embarrassing as she was one lap around the park ahead of me already.

I stopped by the Paris Bakery and Deli (or is it Deli and Bakery?) for a few bành mì to take home for lunch… three of the tofu and mushroom variety. Amanda agreed they were very very tasty and better than the ones at Seattle Deli and Saigon Deli in the International District.

Amanda finished painting the Kai’s room. She also painted out little stool that Lonan formally used at the sink to wash his hands.

She took the Bon with her to pick up Lonan and was going to pick up some pizza on the way home, but apparently Bon was having a hard time because of her lack of sleep in the afternoon, so she called me up and had me meet them at St. Dames for dinner.

Dinner was good. I had a couple of alcoholic Cherry Limeades and their Portobello Cheese Stake with fries which is always tasty. It is the one entree that is always on their menu; the rest change every so often. I am not too thrilled with their current entree lineup, but the Portobello Cheese Stake is always good. I joked with Amanda that I wished I had some Sriracha to put on it as I am becoming one of those people who put hot sauce on everything.

The Kai’s bedroom had been painted with low vapor paint, but it still was a little stinky, so Amanda decided to stay at the townhouse with him tonight. I am here with the Bon who hopefully will sleep all night, but we will see how that goes. Who knows what the rest of the evening holds?

End of weblog entry. What to write about now? Ate piglet is sleeping in the cat bed beside me, and Naandi is going crazy around me and trying to torment piglet (which is aggravating me). Now he is stationed underneath the computer monitor giving me angry face. I don’t care.

I guess I should go outside and get the bokboks in the henhouse, but they are still idly pecking about outside.

I still need to do my jumping jacks, burpees, squats, pushups, and situps. I had been sort of doing those the past couple of weeks even though I had not been running. Perhaps that is why running did not hurt as much. They only take about ten minutes, though.

750 Words

// 2013.05.22 22:07 //

I have started up doing 750Words again. Basically, the idea is to write 750 words a day (which is approximately three pages). It could be about anything. It does not even have to make sense. The idea came from the concept of writing three pages (longhand) in the morning when you wake up in order to clear your mind. I’d like to do it in the morning, but that is unlikely to happen. I also hope that writing every day will improve my writing in general. It has to, right?

I was copying those posts to my weblog, since I don’t have anything on the weblog, but I went ahead and deleted them because they may not be for public consumption in the future. Even though the ones I deleted were perfectly fine for the public. I just don’t want to have to think about it later.

So I thought I would get more writing in the weblog that way, but no. I suppose I can cut and paste things as appropriate. This weblog was always only intended as an event diary as opposed to including everything (anything?) that I have been thinking about. Whereas my last 750 word posts have been more stream-of-consciousness-type things.

Lets Break Up the 1234 Image Posts

// 2013.04.26 23:15 //

After all, 12:34 is lunch time so I am usually eating or somewhere non-photogenic. These type of timed picture things are better for single people.

The weather has been gorgeous the past few days. It is supposed to cloud up this weekend and possibly rain, though. Made pizza for dinner.

  • seven tubes have been sealed by the mason bees
  • garden except tomatoes have been planted
  • chopped down bushes in the back
  • starting up running again
  • starting daily workout timed and increasing jumping jacks/burpees/squats/pushups/situps
  • first one shredded my abdominals for four days
  • phone screen broke but was insured so I got a new one

I want to write more, but we all know how that goes.
