Susan wanted to get fish and chips for lunch, so that is what we did. She tried to coach LK to say that we had mac-and-cheese if Amanda asked, but alas, LK was not up to the deception. He spilled the beans rather easily when Mama returned home.
Amanda, Susan, LK, and my mom walked to Columbia City to check out the consignment store there, but it turned out to be closed, so they relaxed at Columbia City Bakery.
We celebrated LK’s birthday again by going out for sushi at Blue C. No one was all that hungry, so it was a good time to go for sushi in spite of my previous visit. We got there at the perfect time: right before the evening rush but after they stocked the belt. We did not really eat that much, so it was more of a snack than a full meal.
Now is it time for another streaming Netflix movie.
At Lonan Kai and Connor’s party we were all very busy setting up, hosting, and tearing everything down, but a fun time was had by all. It was a good thing we rented a big room because the toddler’s went nuts.

The piñata was a big hit. The kids were not able to really hit the poor horsie effectively, but after a while we introduced some structural defects that made the horsie more susceptible to toddler bashing. I am sure if we have one next year it will be a different story; a three-year-old there was much more proficient at piñata beating.

Afterwards we took everything to Ann and Mike’s place and decompressed a bit before heading back home. After putting the Kai to bed, we started watching The Story of the Weeping Camel, but everyone feel asleep, so I turned it off about half way through.
It was eggs and toast for bfast today. We went over to Ann and Mike’s to prep for the party later in the afternoon. Susan and Amanda did most of the food prepping while everyone else did various combinations of prepping plus watching all the kiddies.
It’s neither Lonan’s nor Connor’s birthday really, but who cares? I can’t wait for the guava cake!
Now the Kai is asleep. We will start lugging everything to the community center when he wakes up. It’s turning out to be a nice day; hopefully it will remain so throughout the afternoon so that the kiddies can play in the nearby playground if they so desire.
I got my hacked wireless bridge working while the progeny slept. woot. Running the cable from downstairs to the Xbox was starting to get on my nerves.
