It has been unseasonably hot recently, and my office is very steamy. I had an internet outage the other day, so I spent some time cleaning off ever bit of pigletness off all the wires I have running everywhere. Things were very sticky and vaguely stinky.
We had another cookout on Wednesday because the house was too warm.
Amanda’s bedroom set arrived yesterday. I completely cleaned out our bedroom and took apart the old bed. I started to clean and touch up the paint (another thing on the TODO list) since it was a perfect time to do so, but I decided that was going to take way too long and it was very hot on our third floor. So I just assembled the furniture. It is all nice and matches each other and everything else we had (which pleases Amanda to no end). At the moment it is unclear what we are going to do with everything, but I am sure it will work out.
I will try to get rid of our old bed frame (in great condition) and our old dresser (very very piglet scratched) on freecycle.
We went up to Urban Vines for wine tasting with Mandy and Bryan, although Amanda did not do much tasting. We then returned home and had pasta with arugula, basil, tomatoes, and olives for dinner. Happy Amanda then went upstairs to play with her new furniture, and I later saw her asleep in bed with the little piglet.
I met with our builder’s foreman today. He needed to inspect the various things I want fixed under our warranty. I talked with him for quite a while about random house and building crap. As for stuff getting fixed, some stuff like our broken windows the manufacturer’s/selling agents will call me about, while other stuff like nail pops, carpet, etc. his contractors will call me to set up appointments. He will follow up in a week to make sure they set something up.
It is again hot, but not as hot as the past couple of days. Amanda started a new rotation. Piglet seems like she is feeling better, although her appetite is still mucked up.
