It has been raining rather constantly. Summer is over. This weekend is supposed to be nice. Perhaps we will go to the Oktoberfest.
We picked many bunches of grapes from the P-Patch today. The grapes are growing along the fences that surround the plots. I am surprised people have not picked them, but most are hidden amongst the grape leaves.
I have invested in a couple of pairs of superfeet inserts for my boots and running shoes. My right foot has been completely mucked up since last December when I sprained my big toe. It has been pretty obvious that my right foot’s arch is much lower than my left, and it seems like my toe and assorted muscles and whatnot are slightly “off” from where they should be. I think that has always been true, but it has been getting worse over the years. These particular inserts seem to help a lot, although I am not sure if I can eventually stop using them. I originally got one pair to check them out, but then bought another for my running shoes so I would not have to keep moving the inserts about. The inserts made my running shoes feel brand new; I had been thinking about getting another pair anyway.
Amanda sez there is evidence that these inserts are “just as good” as custom made orthotics. Or perhaps custom made ones are not significantly better.
Amanda is asleep now. I should be asleep, but I am not tired because I got my first migraine in awhile tonight and dozed fitfully on the couch for most of the evening. Piglet is sleeping beside me… she never has any trouble.
