The heat broke here last night. The morning had been a nice 60-70 degrees. Little piglet is no longer melting on the stairs. The sun just came out, so it will probably warm up more, but hopefully it will stay below the 90s.
Amanda is on call tonight. She made banana bread (for me) and a chocolate cake (for secret luuuvvver?) before leaving.
The heat scorched our onion, green onion, and broccoli seedlings over the past few days. The lettuces, spinach, kale, carrots, and swiss chard handled things much better.
Amanda watched the new Pirates of the Carribean movie last night with Eve. I did not go as I spent the whole night rebuilding my computer system. I had planned on doing it during the day, but my warranty replacement parts did not arrive until 7:15pm; there were supposed to be there before 3pm. I eventually took a nap at around 5:30am. I spent a lot of the time reading and organizing/finally unpacking my office as the rebuild process (installing, copying/verifying data, tweaking, blah blah blah) does not require attention all the time.
Time for a snack.
