It is pretty hot and sunny here. For Seattle, anyway, maybe over 90 degrees. All of this would not be so bad, but my computer room has turned into a sauna.
Obviously much has happened since and during our move, but there have been and continue to be many things to do. So, yes, updating weblog is on the list, but not all that high.
Amanda is done with her first year of residency and has this week off. We are going to Victoria and the San Juan Islands for a couple of days (starting really early tomorrow morning). Should be fun and the weather should be great… not low 90s like it is here in Seattle.
OK, now that I am in the weblog writing mood, here is a stream of consciousness update on what has happened:
00. visit by Amanda’s mom right before we moved
01. they painted a lot
02. moved out of apartment in two days.
03. both door locks on rented uhaul broke
04. um, lots of stuff related to moving
05. mom and auntie min visit
06. post office refuses to deliver mail
07. most people in our townhouse area have moved in
08. still constructing more townhouses
09. june is a budget free month
10. i have to make more money or our net cash flow per month is negative
11. hooking up utilities has been a major pain in the ass
12. we finally got our city trash can today (four weeks after initial call)
13. still waiting for recycling container
14. post office guy finally called back and will look at our place tomorrow
15. of course we won’t be here
16. we got our P-Patch community garden plot last week
17. I spent a lot of time in the heat clearing it and surrounding area yesterday
18. We are both skilled in putting our car in the garage now
19. Although I would still rather park it outside most of the time
20. I have been treating new IVAR shelves for my office
21. Won’t finish before we leave tomorrow though
22. We have been taking care of another cat Satchel for a while
23. Piglet is cranky and territorial, so he has to stay cooped up in our second bedroom
24. He is very sweet and friendly unlike our little one, but is over twice as big
25. Piglet is hot right now too, and is sprawled out beside me
26. She should go upstairs to the second floor where it is cooler.
27. Third floor is also way too hot right now
28. Amanda is sleeping
