So what has been going on? Clearly too much to keep up with the weblog. Although I suppose that writing something once a week is not so bad. I am working a lot. Work is frustrating because there is much to do, I am in a bit of an uninspired rut, but work obviously doesn’t care about that, so I have to work much more timewise to get stuff done. Ah, well, it’s what they pay me for.
I slept a lot last Saturday. Amanda had to take a licensing class all day.
We went to a party Sunday (mainly Amanda’s fellow R1s). It was fun.
Halloween was pretty low key. Two kids from the apartment dropped by for trick-or-treating… good thing I got some supplies before they arrived. Actually, two people have been the norm for us the past couple of years. Maybe more kids are going to malls or private parties or somethng. We have not lived in popular areas for trick-or-treating recently either.
Otherwise… work work work work work.
I believe this is Amanda’s last week of home focus (i.e. lectures instead of rotations); she will start OB/GYN night float for a couple of weeks soon. She took some other required licensing thing this morning and is at some conference near the airport right now. She will not be back until later tonight.
We had dinner at Blue C Sushi with Heather and Casey last night. Afterwards, Amanda agonized over buying bedding at the nearby Pottery Barn. She eventually bought various items because she can’t deny she wants the Pottery Barn lifestyle…as does Eve, a fellow Harbourview resident, who freely admitted she wanted that “comfortable, casual elegance and trust fund lifestyle”. Perhaps she tired of the fact that 95% of our current stuff *I* bought quite a while ago with no input from her (cause, ya know, I did not know her yet). THe new stuff is nice though, but it does outclass the Ikea bed now.
Alrighty, time for a bit more work, then exercise, cook some sort of dinner, more work until Amanda gets home, or maybe I will play with the cat.
