Not much exciting happening really. Amanda is doing surgery, which means she works practically all the time, and when she is not working she is sleeping. Although her current rotation has the added benefit of allowing her to sleep at home for a few hours (instead of her call room in the hospital) until they page her. Cynically, of course, this is a rather transparent way to get around work hour limits, since I do not think the hours count if she is offsite.
I have a lot of work, too, but am having problems being productive/efficient and as a result I work a lot to get stuff done which probably shouldn’t take as much time as it does. Anyways, one can only plow through things regardless.
I have not been exercising, and that probably has been a mistake. Maybe I will change that tonight and do some lifting and running.
On the positive side, I have successfully flossed ever day for the past few weeks. I tend to floss on-and-off in multiweek cycles, which my previous dentist said was better than nothing, but hardly ideal.
Amanda is on call now and next Sunday, so I really won’t be seeing her very much over the next four days.
I saw a great time-travel movie called Primer the other day. The acting wasn’t great and the production was just ok (but then it was originally shot for $7k), but I found the story and concept quite intriguing. It took me a while to figure out what was going on and how stuff was possible, so it definitely took orders of magnitude more thought than most movies.
