angelfish

The angelfish have not given up and have laid yet more eggs. This time, however, they laid them on one of the filter intake tubes. They have been around for a couple of days (and have turned the requisite color), so perhaps they will hatch. Unfortunately, at that point they will probably be either sucked up by one of the filters (there are two) or be eaten by any one of the many fish swimming about.
Ah, well, what can you do.
I am still a bit sick, but it is now manifesting itself in random coughing and an altered voice.
Amanda is in Seattle looking at apartments. Perhaps she has looked at a couple already. She had an epic 14+ hour journey out to the west coast; yesterday, we got up and drove to the Syracuse airport at 3:45am for a 6am flight, and she arrived in Seattle around 6pm eastern time. She did get to see the Great Falls and Helena airpoirts in Montana though.
“Have I been there before?” she wondered. Yes, as a matter of fact we stayed in Helena when we left the Canadian Rockies four(?) years ago. How could she forget the surprisingly good Chinese food and all the teenagers in pickup trucks shouting “WAAAAAAAASSSUPPPPPPP!” to each other and to people on the streets?
