i just got back from dropping amanda off in buffalo. always fun to start a workday with a 6+ hour drive. i dropped her off at a car rental place as she is driving to ann arbor for yet another interview and then returning to buffalo to fly out to seattle. she will not be home in four+ weeks! she had not arrived at her destination yet, i presume, as she has not called.
our director of engineering has gotten angry that canada has tomorrow off for remembrance day and that canada has many more holidays than we do in the states. he has declared it doughnut day for us instead, so we get to party tomorrow morning. our canadian compatriots merely said they “won’t be thinking of us on our day off.”
i still have to recap our trip to southern california. in the meantime, there are more random pictures from july in the photo gallery. perhaps the highlights of that month were a trip we took to toronto and dave and tahirih’s wedding.
