i am sitting in our (soon-to-be) former apartment in buffalo right now. practically everything is gone, and we will be leaving once amanda gets home. i came back up to wait around for the natural gas guys to come by to turn off our gas and to help with final preparations. all we have to do is some minor packing and final cleanups. and drugging the piglet for the drive back. i also have to return the cable modem and converter very shortly.
it’s kinda sad as buffalo is my home although i was only here 5 nights a week. brooktondale will probably become home soon, but it does not feel like it yet.
effectively, amanda will be starting away rotations (one of which happens to be n buffalo) until the beginning for march. she will be travelling a lot over the next few months for the rotations and residency interviews.
hopefully piglet will take the move well. we were not able to really set up the house before moving her as would have been ideal, so the house is pretty unorganized. ideally, the drugs will make her sleepy throughout the car ride and most of the moving/organizing that we will be doing tonight.
we have not been in ithaca for a weekend in a very long time. the apple harvest festival is going on right now. should be a good break from our unpacking.
