i just finished lining the compost bin’s floor with blocks, so hopefully it is now protected against any invading rats. of course, perhaps the rats were doing a good job of aerating the pile. our pile has a preponderance of browns from carlos and karen’s chinchilla wood chips; maybe the grass will grow fast enough for us to plop in a big wad of greens to help the compost along.
