on more happy news, we transferred our two old neons and two other unidentified tetras to our big tropical tank. we also went out and bought two more red neons and four more of the unidentified tetras (which were not labeled at the store, so we still don’t know what they are). they all very happy now, especially the two unknown tetras who had previously cowered by themselves in the old tank (even though the other two neons were rather harmless). now they are schooling happily with their new friends.
hopefully, the catfish will all behave. amanda is convinced of their evil hungry ways.
we also got a big apple snail in hopes he/she/it will take care of the upsurge in algae growth that has been occuring. looks good so far.
we are a bit concerned about the two remaining angelfish. both seem to hide underneath the fake tree stump, whereas previously they swam everywhere. maybe the catfish have been tormenting them, or perhaps they have an infection/infestation. i will probably get some medicines just in case tomorrow.
