so we did not end up getting a more professional raincoat for amanda; however, she did get a few more items of professional clothes. i did not really get anything (other than lunch). we also dropped by borders, where amanda picked up a few books, but i did not see anything i wanted (anything i wanted to spend money on, that is).
we headed home where amanda did a bit more research whilst i tried to get some exercise. lainie came over for dinner. later, i teached her how to play go (since someone she knows is really into it), and then we watched iron chef. it was a live carp battle with iron chef chinese chen kenichi. amanda and lainie were horrified with the graphic dismemberment of the poor carp. however, they still dozed off before the end. but, then, they were both tired to begin with.
some collection company just sent me an evil letter saying that i have an old past bill for verizon wireless. i checked my records, and while admittedly i am late on my last bill (just one day), i hardly am behind on over three months worth. what most likely has happened is that something got messed up when i changed my phone number a few monthds ago or perhaps it was recent since i got neither a paper bill or email like i usually do in the past month. one would think that they would have mailed me something about this before getting all hot and bothered with a collection agency. weirdly enuf, my phone still works. anyways, just another administrative annoyance to take care of soonest.
