the weather is rather dispiriting outside… rainy and cold. after being tantalized with 60 degree weather last week, we will be getting snow tomorrow.
yesterday was the usual: work. we went to olive garden afterwards right when amanda got back, so we beat the typical rush. in some ways the food is kinda mediocre, but still better than most of the italian restaurants around here. later we watched “in the mouth of the madness“, a silly lovecraftian horror movie. erika came over to hang out. we randomly talked, watched a young one’s episode, watched a bit of tv, etc. she has been on vacation for the past week and will be going to toronto with her father for the weekend.
amanda had to go into work again today (it’s been quite a while since she had a day off), but has returned. i think i am finally getting over my illness; i can hope anyway. we were going to go look for a raincoat for her, but she has fallen asleep on the couch. she already has a nice rugged hiking shell, but that kind of thing does not fly in the professional medical world. i remember remarking the other day that i never see her in “normal clothes”; amanda wears either work clothes or lounge clothes.
time to catch up on adminstrative tasks until amanda wakes.
