amanda lasted two days in pediatrics before getting the flu. it seemed like she was feeling better this morning. she had gotten a flu shot early in the season, but i guess she got overwhelmed. actually, she probably just has a random uri, as she is already feeling better. apparently, there are many parents calling the clinic about flu shots (these are the ones who ignored the clinic’s mailing about it in september) who are all rude and bitchy (amanda’s words not mine) about the fact that they are out except for some doses left for asthma patients. they were going to force amanda to field calls but relented.
i am still outwardly healthy; hopefully i can fend off the infectious little beasties.
lainie came over to fill us in on her personals date with “chelluva guy”. it went well (as personals dates go), so perhaps she will see him again. we made tentative plans to go out to dinner with her to celebrate amanda’s honors grade in surgery if amanda is feeling better… well enuf that she would actually enjoy the dinner, that is.
