so picking up the car was exciting. it was paul’s, the shuttle driver, first day on the job, so he was not operating at peak efficiency; it took an hour and a half from when i was picked up to when i actually got the car. but, it was not really his fault as scheduling for the unknown can get pretty complicated, especially when he had not figured out all the shortcuts around town yet. that fact that various people kept calling and cancelling pickups, requesting pickups, and rerequesting pickups after cancelling did not help his cause either. everyone in the shuttle took it all in stride, because stuff like that is to be expected.
he was a funny guy tho. he had been retired from the navy and had gotten bored just sitting around. i will undoubtably see him again when i take the car back in next week.
