so, not much is happening except the usual work and all. i still have not finished my taxes. since i forgot them in buffalo, i will have to do them thrusday night. ah, well, it’s better to wait until the last minute since i won’t have wasted so much thinking about it and will work more efficiently getting them done.
the apartment in ithaca is wickedly humid. the constant rain this year has been wrecking havoc. everything seems to be covered with a thin mildewly film except the places where the mold and mildew are just outrageously bad. curiously, the bedrooms are much less humid, but i do not know why. i spent a lot of time cleaning things up yesterday, and am considering getting a dehumidifier even tho the humidity will probably only last a month or so more. but if the weather cooperates, perhaps i will just wait it out.
i took the subaru in to the dealer to check the brakes, and thankfully all they needed to do was bleed the brake system a bit and add more fluid. superlative! i also got them to fix the cigarette lighter (well, its not really a lighter, just the 12v plug) that we had pulled out of the dashboard and never had gotten around to dealing with.
the shuttle van was driven by wendy, a new driver. she was quite friendy and really struck up conversations with everyone. she grew up in albany and ithaca… her family moved when her dad got a job with cornell. she is going to tc3 next year to study gerontology but is planning on transferring somewhere in florida or north carolina next year. florida is probably the place to be for that kind of stuff.
the sun has been out for most of the afternoon, so maybe the humidity levels are going down at home. regardless, time to leave work and go for a run.
