amanda stumbled in at around 9am and promptly fell asleep. she was on call in the er last light at ecmc (so she worked from 5am or so friday to around 8am saturday). ecmc is the eire country medical center. she got up a couple of times and actually talked to me, but now she denies all knowledge of that. after puttering around in the morning i went to the gym (and ran into ross, our neighbor who works there), and amanda had woken up by the time i returned at 2pm. we went to mighty taco, to barnes and noble and got a few fun books with a gift card from our wedding, and to walmart to get random office stuff. i didn’t want to go to walmart (what with their notions of family values and all), but amanda insisted. we also stopped by premier wine to restock our rack.
we got home and melted in the heat and humidity. it has been raining and thunderstorming off and on, so the rain cools things down for a while and then the humidity shoots up. amanda feel asleep whilst i puttered about cleaning and organizing and whatnot. we made pizza for dinner, did more random administrative stuff, and soon will watch iron chef and relax with a good (hopefully) wine. amanda will be back in the hospital tomorrow very very early. exciting, eh?
