amanda is currently taking the medical boards. she won’t know what to do with herself once she’s done.
i saw a holy angel on the way back from buffalo. they reside down the road from us. i would have thought they would be gone by now, tho. amanda is always complaining about their “slow poke butts” and their parents blocking the road with their suvs. there was only a single sighting, and she did not delay either of us when we left home.
i listened to the breakfast buzz for the first time in quite a while. i guess i am a child of the 70s and 80s. kimberly, beck, and aaron can be entertaining, if far more conservative than i. but that only comes out when discussing they politics.
during “old lady 80s”, when aaron’s mom recites a lyric from a song and listeners call in to guess it for big prizes(tm), they couldn’t find the cd or whatever to play it after someone answered correctly. the lyric was:
“take a little trip, take a little trip, take a little trip and see / take a little trip, take a little trip, take a little trip with me”
the answer is “lowrider” from the group war (a 70s song tho). i usually do know the answers; sometimes i think those brain cells could be used for better purposes than remembering random old songs.
i remember thinking that a sign of getting old was when commercials advertising song collections on tvs started using songs that you knew. i guess that happened with me a while ago. you also know when you’re old when you’re older than the centerfolds in playboy, but perhaps maxim is hipper than hef now.
