stonyfield farm has downsized their yogurt from eight ounces to six! now that’s a good way to immediately cut costs by around 25%. six ounces is barely a mouthful really, and is not large enuf for me to mix it up via my favorite method… vigorous shaking. unfortunately for me, their yogurt is admittedly very very tasty, but $0.89 for six ounce yogurts is not where it’s at. they were still pretty decadent at their previous eight ounce size. i will probably have to go back to the practice of filling containers from their larger batches (which have also been downsized); i suppose that is slightly more environmentally friendly anyway. yes, i realize it would be more environmentally friendly just to make it myself.
