it’s the last day of classes at cornell for the undergraduates. it’s traditionally called “slope day” because the students all congregate on libe slope and have a good time drinking, partying, getting nekkid, doing drugs, or whatever students do nowadays. btw… its called libe slope because uris library is perhaps the most promient building on top of the slope. anyways, the weather is pretty sucky today, but i am sure that did not dissaude the students. on another moving trip during the middle of the day i saw many many revelers on their way to the slope. there were also many house parties everyone; i even saw one get busted by the ithaca police.
i only went to one slope day whilst at cornell, and it was the one after my freshman year. the weather was sucky then, too, but i only really remember this big nekkid twister game going on in the mud. the other years i just remember walking down the slopes through all the revelers on my way back home to the co-op.
natalie and i did a bit more moving this afternoon. it looks to be a neverending process, but i guess progress is being made. taking all the crap to the dump will probably be the most painful part.
amanda apparently went to ikea without me! karen and carlos, who are moving in below us in buffalo, undoubtably are looking for furnishings for their new abode.
