i was lame today and could not drag myself out of bed and go to the gym. amanda had no such problems and went to a spinning class. our decadent dinner apparently had a bit too much uncooked garlicks… probably in the mushroom cake… that caused me to feel a bit out of sorts. lame, i know.
later we went to the aquarium in niagara falls. it was a nice trip, altough amanda was a bit disappointed with how small it was. perhaps she was comparing it to the virgina marine science center that we visited last summer. there were a lot of little kids about counting easter eggs in all the displays; the aquarium was running a contest/raffle of some sort where kids had to find all the easter eggs around the aquarium. at first, it seemed kinda silly to me, but all the kids seemed to enjoy it.
we thought about going to the ikea in burlington, ontario, but decided to leave that for tomorrow, since we were both being lazy and sleepy. after hanging out in the park beside the falls, we dropped by the niagara falls factory outlet center on the way back home. it seemed an ok place, in an very consumeristic way. i picked up a linen shirt and pants in my current quest to upgrade my wardrobe (so i stop getting seated in the back by the bathrooms in restaurants); amanda got a variety of clothing items. unfortunately, i enjoy clothing shopping about as much as i like getting my picture taken (not at all), but it was not so bad. the brookes brothers outlet had some pretty nice items, but way more expensive than i wanted to pay ($60-$100+). i only pay that much for hiking clothes :) :) :)
