There is always a heron in the creek on my way to work from the bus stop. Only in the morning though. Today I tried to take a picture of it, but it sensed my interest and kept ducking behind various convenient trees. Quite stealthily, as I never saw it actually move while adjusting my position and fiddling with my cell phone camera. I was not going to be deterred by a mere bird, albeit a large one, but it eventually tired of the game and flew off (which I did see). Amanda never saw the heron on her few trips up last month whilst working in the nearby Group Health clinic; she does not believe it actually exists, so photographic proof is needed.
