I had a moment of enlightenment and remembered what happened last Sunday… not much exciting. Amanda was on call, so I took her to work in the morning. I later picked her up a few hours later for lunch (Amanda had two deliveries), and we went to Chipotle in the University District. We were hopeful that she could go home, but the ER paged her about someone whom they probably would have to keep in the hospital to rule out a MI. So Amanda was definitely not going to be able to leave.
Amanda grumped about having to keep someone in the hospital who was “probably” fine “just to keep from getting sued”, but I pointed out that perhaps if one is really worried about getting sued and actually losing, maybe it is a Good Idea(tm) on many levels to rule out a heart attack.
Anyways, I had a boring day of chores and errands and life admin tasks.
