04 MAY 2007 : FRIDAY
Amanda worked. I spent the morning continuing to organize our finances. By which I mean organize my business crap and archive all last year’s tax documents.
I had a long meeting in the afternoon with a guy I am working with. Not billable hours, though. I got paid. Woot!
After a workout at the gym and various p-patch stuff, I came back home to clean up the house before Eve came by. She was going to stay over during the weekend because she is on call this weekend, but her current abode in Ballard is too far away from her work.
After Amanda came home, we went out to eat with a few of our neighbors in Columbia City (not Eve… she had to work late). It was the Beatwalk for the month, so people were everywhere. We ended up eating at the Mexican place, El Sombrero, which was alright.
As it turned out, Eve could not get a hold of Amanda during dinner, so she made arrangements to stay somewhere else. Amanda’s cell phone is not behaving apparently.
05 MAY 2007 : SATURDAY
Amanda had to work a half day in the clinic. I, um, slept a little longer than she did. I did eventually get up to do various errands and TODO list items. I finally got around to opening a couple of business bank accounts to simplify life.
Amanda went grocery shopping with Mandy when she got home from work. I later dropped her off in Columbia City where she met up with Eve while I did other errands.
I did a lot of community p-patch work while waiting for Amanda to call me about dinner. She and Eve ended up going to a new wine bar and texted me about it, but she never did answer my many calls for clarification later, so I did not meet up with them.
They eventually came back home, and since they only had snacks along with their wine tasting (Eve probably really was just tasting as opposed to drinking since she is on call), we had dinner at home… polenta with goat cheese and tomato sauce and a wilted spinach salad. The salad had our home-grown spinach, onions, and radishes.
Amanda and Eve watched A Prairie Home Companion, but they said it was not all that good. I dorked around with moving my weblog and other random computer stuff.
