Poor piglet was continuously straining to urinate and oddly crying and acting weird this afternoon, so we took her into Emerald City Emergency Clinic today. We thought she could have constipation/urinary crystals/other blockage/UTI or something worse. As it turned out, she did have a raging UTI (“too many [microbes] to count” said the analysis). They gave her a shot of antibiotics and gave us more to give her and she should be fine.
Dunno what caused it. I suppose there are many possibilities. She was fine yesterday when we got home, so I am sure her watchers did not notice anything amiss. Anyways, I am glad she exhibited sickness during the day as opposed to early in the morning like last time when we were at the emergency place from midnight to three or four or something on Thanksgiving morning (I was going to link the entry about that excitement but apparently I never wrote about it).
