It warmed up today so it was back around 50 instead of the 30s. Still rainy, though. I went for a run. My shins still hurt, but what can you do. One of Amanda’s books was not so helpful about treatment for shin splints (except for the obvious rest) but did say that there were no long term adverse effects except for “severe pain and the inability to walk or run”. Wonderful.
I tried to check out a gym near us: Rainier Health and Fitness. There aren’t any gyms in our area because, well, perhaps due to historical lack of development or whatever. I missed the grand opening, though. It’s closer to Rainier Beach, so it is not all that much closer than downtown or Capitol Hill, which is a little unfortunate. I’ll try to check it out another time.
Amanda is seeing a show at the Grand Ole Opry now. I hope she is having fun.
