The last few days haven’t been all that notable: work, life, and everything. Amanda had the weekend off, but the weather was pretty nasty, and she almost metamorphed into grumpus. “Of course it is sunny all week when I am working!” So we just did random life tasks and whatnot.
We went out to Liberty, a bar on 15th with Mike and many of Amanda’s resident class. It was fun. The bar was interesting as I always knew it was there, but who knew that the only food it served was sushi? Which was pretty good, really. We had dinner earlier, though, so we mainly had expensive drinks. Amanda was disappointed that she could not get nachos, but we should have went to the Hopvine Pub nearby for those.
Amanda’s compatriots were really drinking up at the bar. They probably need more time off. KT asked the waitress: “You aren’t going to overcharge us, are you?” … he was pretty under the influence. I wonder what their final bill was as we left before everyone else. They all decided to sleep over HK’s and ZV’s apartments nearby because no one could drive. Amanda and I did have any problems, but then evidently everyone else had much more to drink than we did.
Amanda showed flashes of grumpusness this morning when she saw her bus coming and leaving from just outside our house (the stop is a few minutes walk away). I told her another one was coming, though. She called me a bit later that she had calmed down as she made it on the bus.
