Thursday: Mandy, Bryan, Kelly, and Natalie came over for desert pear pastry, brownies and dessert wine. I drank a lot of cheap wine during dinner, although I probably would not have done so had I known we were going to have people over. After that spur-of-the-moment decision, we did a very quick cleaning job on the house become people came over.
Friday: I relaxed in the evening with Kelly, Mike, Natalie, Mandy and Kevin… Amanda had fallen asleep after dinner. Bryan was off somewhere with coworkers while Greg was still out of town on a business trip. Amanda finally finished OB at Valley and started the Family Medicine Service at UW today.
Saturday: I was way low energy on Saturday; must’ve have been all the drinking I did the preceding days. Or maybe I was sick, if I would be charitable. Amanda was on call at UW, but I don’t think she was that busy, so she managed to catch up on a lot of work. She had to stay there, because there was a woman in labor. She did make it home finally 14 hours later; fortunately she did not have to stay overnight. Kevin was up for more partying at his place because Greg was back home, but I decided to stay home and detox.
Sunday: Amanda went in to UW for rounds, but came home after an hour and slept. She then went grocery shopping with Mandy. We went to IKEA with Mike. It was crazy busy with their President’s Weekend Sale, but we found it enjoyable as we were just idly looking at things and walking around; we were primarily just yakking with Mike. We had dinner at Sushiland in Lower Queen Anne (yet another new restaurant this year) with Nancy. It was good and cheap… better and cheaper than Blue C Sushi.
