weekend

Saturday, we had a leasurely brunch with Casey and Mike. They went off (shopping?) afterwards, while Amanda and I went to Trader Joe’s for groceries. We ran into our old real estate agent Jim (and boyfriend Jim) there.
We went to Shoreline later to a place that we thought would have a selection of worm bins, but it turned out that they only had one left (an outside wooden model), so we were denied entry into the land of worm composting. We stopped in the U District at Chipotle so that Amanda could get a burrito bowl as a consolation prize. We also stopped at Weaving Works for some knitting supplies.
Later, I tortured Amanda with a movie called “Rollergator”. It is about a woman who saves a taking baby alligator from a ninja. Really. Movies don’t get any better than that. Amanda couldn’t handle it after half-an-hour, so that was it for the movie.
Today (Sunday) we worked on various things. It was rainy. We took a break to visit the nearby asian grocery an go to the library. I cleaned up the garden. I also just installed the water saving shower head I bought a few days ago. Amanda is crushed, but allowed that it is “the right thing to do.”
