Today is the winter solstice. Woohoo. Maybe I don’t have to get the 5K light bulbs now until next year. It was nice and sunny earlier, but now is rainy.
Some places in the city (Mt. Baker of all places for example) still do not have power. The Eastside cities had it worse apparently.
The neighborhood holiday party was a lot of fun. I finally got to talk to a couple of our newest neighbors (Lillie and Kiera) as well as the two people renting one of the units… we just never really crossed paths now that the weather is suckier.
I met up with a few people related to 43places… a user who was in town doing some work for them and two of the principals. We had dinner at the Alibi Room (a place in Pike Place Market) and then went to a bar in Belltown (Shorty’s Coney Island). It was fun. Amanda was working saving lives, so I felt slightly guilty. I also went to the lounge/club/etc. that one of the guys was opening up called McLeod. It looks to be an interesting place once it opens up in a couple of weeks. Jesse would probably like it.
