We still have not closed on the townhouse, although it should be happening shortly. I believe they are pretty much done, and all that is left is to get the electric hooked up, get it inspected, and sign all the papers. Perhaps it can even be done this week.
Our apartment managers showed a apartment a few times. Hopefully we can close soon and get someone to rent it out and save us $1200 for the month of June. That would be nice, eh?
Amanda is done with the NICU and has a couple of weeks of outpatient pediatrics, but in practice she will only have one day because she was at a conference last week and in a couple of days will have a week off. She is in clinic today.
We went to the Cheese Festival at Pike Place Market on Saturday. The weather was gorgeous. It was fun going to the market, but there were even more people than normal there, so it was not as much fun as it could have been. Amanda wanted to go to Ivar’s Acres of Clams, just to say that she went to such a cool sounding place, but it only has one veggie option (a salad), so we just went to the Red Robin nearby so that we could look out over the water. At that point we probably would have prefered eating somewhere off the waterfront, but we were hungry and did not want to walk back up to the market.
Later we went to Kubota Garden. It was very pretty, and many new things were blooming. Someone had just gotten married and they and their party (who had arrived in one of those stretch hummers) were walking around getting their pictures taken. I wonder where the ceremony had taken place (or if it was to take place later).
Sunday, we took a bike ride up the Burke-Gilman trail past Magnuson Park. The trail is a multiuse trail, so one cannot really fly down the trail, but it was still fun. The day was gorgeous again.
It is supposed to get really hot (relatively) here in the next couple of days… 80F+. I am glad the nice summer weather seems to be returning.
