day in the life

I took Amanda to work this morning and then got flattened by a migraine. I ended up sleeping it off (like, all day). I woke up in time to retrieve Amanda. Amanda passed out for hours when she got home. Such a lively bunch we are.
I visited Dave and Molly’s kitties for the last time and finally made friends with both of them.
The car needed its monthly fillup, and I managed to totally spill a large quantity of gasoline. I had been pumping slow to get more gas per dollar (and to really fill the tank… our gas tank has a bladder in the tank to keep evaporative emissions down); gas pumps tend to give more gas when pumping slowly (but not all that much more). Obviously, I blew it… silly me.
I washed the car to get all the garage dust and gas off and drove down to our new townhouse to see how it looked and to dry off the car. It appears they are fixing up the insides now (appliances, wood trim, yadda yadda yadda).
Amanda was still asleep, so I went out to lift and run. I am in horrendous cardio shape, but not all that bad strength wise. My foot still hurts, as is has since December, but running was not so bad. Maybe in a month it will finally be normal.
Amanda woke up, and I made broccoli and tofu for dinner. We cleaned up the apartment afterwards. Amanda made banana muffins, and we ate a few with a glass of port.
Amanda is reading now, but will soon take a shower and go to sleep.
I am going to research dedicated hosting plans and perhaps order some equipment for the guy I am working with.
We just weighed the piglet; she is now 10.6 pounds, down from her peak of 12.4 from sometime when we lived in Brooktondale. I am glad someone is losing weight in the family. She was 9 pounds when I first met her, though (admittedly long before she was a middle aged cat). Amanda is walking about the apartment chanting “10.6! 10.6! 10.6!”.
Factoid: a couple of days ago at work she walked 10 miles according to her pedometer.
