So, now that the month of our vacation is over, we instituted a brand new financial budget. It was kinda necessary since our combined income dropped significantly and my current income stream is not very regular.
I lost track of the days, so I forgot to sneak in a few capital purchases before the deadline. Oops. Ah, well, they weren’t that important anyway.
Otherwise, I am still doing a bit of consulting, but I am starting to look for other stuff again. I still have to finish taxes. And trip recaps.
Winter is over here. It has been warmer, the days are getting longer, and there are more sunny and clear periods during the day. Amanda did get caught in a traffic jam due to freezing roads a few days ago, so it took her 1.5 hours (maybe?) to get to the Children’s Hospital. She said a bus was jacknifed on 23rd Ave on the hilly section north of us, and she was trapped a few blocks from our apartment for a long long time. I think that was a temporary weather blip, though.
She finished her pediatrics rotation which she disliked for a variety of reasons. Good thing she did not go into it. She starts “sport medicine” or something like that tomorrow. Apparently, it is a very relaxed rotation, so hopefully she will be able to decompress a bit.
