Amanda and I have been back from vacation. Amanda has been working. I spent the early part of this week setting up my new computer, and, since I wanted everything on it “just so”, it took a while to deal with.
As usual, there are a lot of random life administrative tasks to do. We did manage to organize our storage closet in the parking garage. I am still organizing stuff in my office. And there are taxes to do.
I am currently doing contracting work. I am not generating a lot of billable hours at the moment, but that should ramp up a bit soon. I have not been looking for other more permanent employment yet, but I should start again shortly.
Dave decided not to leave town for his vacation, so our reciprocal cat sitting will wait a few months until he goes off to Portugal.
It’s been a bit nippy weatherwise here; I broke out my old winter jacket for the first time, and I probably could have done without it. It has been very sunny this week, which is very nice.
We are trying to move piglet to a wet diet in hope that will help with her urinary indecretions. Our new vet said that her urinary crystal problem may possibly be controled via a wetter diet rather than the prescription food she has always ate. She does not like the wet food as much, but maybe weight loss will be an added bonus. With regards to her urination, currently she only insists on peeing on the outside of the litter box as well as the inside, which, given other alternatives, is not so bad. It appears that she is not doing it as much, but I think that is more because I have been letter her outisde a lot, and one week is not a good sample anyway.
I should work on recapping our vacation. I suppose I can just keep posting my notes.
