I had lunch with an old friend/coworker downtown today (yesterday technically). It was cool to see him; we had been trying to get together for a couple of months but other things kept getting in the way. I met him at Anthony’s Bell Street Diner on the waterfront. The food there is alright… slightly more unusual than the standard seafood fare. Not a good place for vegetarians, but at least there are a couple of options.
We just shot the shit as it were. It was fun.
I cleaned up one of my old work systems in prep for sending it back. I should to get the other one done tomorrow.
I did some background stuff for an interesting contract opportunity. Hopefully it will pan out. I have already had a couple of meetings with the principal and will have another this Friday. My long gray-streaked hair did not scare him off.
Otherwise, stuff on the job/career front will have to wait until after our vacation. Amanda and I will be wandering about California next week. The hardworking Amanda deserves the break.
