We had visitors for the past week or so, so I have not had time to write any new entries. I hopefully will write all that down later.
30 DEC 2005 : FRIDAY
After a visit to the airport very early in the morning, I slept until taking Amanda to work. Then… I slept again. Once awake, I did a lot of cleaning and organizing.
Amanda had a nasty day at work, but I eventually picked her up around 7:30pm or so. She wanted to go to Taco del Mar, and we were on our way there, but then she called Eve up, and we decided to eat pick her up and eat at a place in Wallingford instead. It was another mexican place (Guadalajara?). It was alright.
We then spent a lot of time talking at Eve’s place, until I decided I had to go home and exercise before going to sleep. Once home, unfortunately, I just went to sleep.
31 DEC 2005 : SATURDAY
Amanda and I slept in, but eventually we got up and did more cleaning and did more errands. All that took most of the day. Among the things we did was buy Heather a betta fish as a gift.
Amanda then went off to an OB/GYN New Years Eve party. I stayed at home because she would only be there for a little while and then return. We then went to another party (primarily Family Medicine people) at Heather and Zubin’s apartments; they both live in the same building.
When we walked nearer to the apartment, we heard quite a ruckus! They were doing karaoke! And very loudly! Foolishly we joined in. Heather was very happy with the betta.
Zubin had a chocolate fondue fountain thing! Crazy.
As midnight neared, everyone went up to a shared deck in the house where there was a good view of downtown and the Space Needle. We toasted the new year and watched the fireworks. The show was a bit on the lame side, although I think it would have looked much better if one was watching from the Seattle Center grounds.
01 JAN 2006 : SUNDAY
I decided to sleep in again. Amanda got up early and went out to bruch with Eve. She brought me back a “Red Devil” cupcake, and it was very tasty.
We did more random cleaning and organizing. We later took a walk in the Arboretum.
We had a celebratory dinner at Tango. They had a stripped down menu for New Years Day, but they still whipped up a few veggie dishes for Amanda. The only non veggie tapas dish I had were some tuna stuffed peppers (yummy).
We came back home and watched the Island. It was alright. Time for bed.
