Untitled Entry

Amanda and I have been working, which is unfortunate since Erika is visiting. She allegedly is supposed to be studying for her certification or whatever pediatricians have to take every seven years, but she has simply been relaxing.
Wednesday, I took a break from work and Erika and I walked about Capitol Hill. It was a gloriously nice day… good for walking about. We had dinner at Blue C Sushi as she wanted to experience its conveyor-belt goodness.
I suddenly realize I already talked about Wednesday in my last entry. Oh, well.
Thursday, she amused herself by studying in the Starbucks below our apartment. She then walked down Madison and explored downtown a bit. She bought some Euro comfort shoes just like Lainie did when she was here! I picked her up at the Central Library since the weather was starting to get nasty.
I already have a fine from the library. I should have gone in and dealt with it.
Erika wanted to possibly have something with “rice and chicken” so that left Mexican and various SE Asian cuisines. Indian and the like was out since Amanda still cannot handle it after her adventures overseas. We decided to go to Madison Park and eat at Cactus or the Thai place down there. We ended up at Cactus and had an enjoyable dinner. We briefly went down to the beach to look over Lake Washington, but Amanda wanted to head back home.
I proceeded to pass out as I have not had much sleep recently. Amanda and Erika stayed up and watched 21 grams.
I eventually got up again and worked until I took Amanda to work at 6am Friday. Erika again studyed a bit at Starbucks and then reappeared with Assault on Precinct 13… the remake. She had bought a used copy at Safeway. I had not seen the movie before, and idly watched some of it interspersed with actual working.
I managed to rearrange my work schedule so Erika and I could wander about Greenwood (kinda northwest of us on the other side of Lake Union) and look for some antique shops Eve had told us about earlier. We wandered about (and actually did find some antique shops). Erika also explored a Tibetan/Nepalese shop and purchased a book. Greenwood had an interesting assortment of shops: antiques, hispanic, thai, middle eastern, japanese, coffee houses, blah blah… all very close to one another.
I made a simple pasta dish and whatnot for dinner. Amanda and Erika fell asleep watching Gladiator on TV while I cleaned up. I worked, surfed the net, and made another batch of granola until I digested enough to work out. And so I did. I returned to do more cleaning and folding clothes and write this entry. Maybe it is time for a shower.
We plan on doing a big tourist extravaganza tomorrow.
