All of our fish are gone; Becky came by this afternoon and took them away. Sad. I did not get to say farewell to them (although rationally they are probably only interested in their own personal weight gain).
Amanda amused herself today packing books and clothes (which I will continue to do soon). She will be heading out to Ohio tomorrow to drop off some items with her dad and to see the old hometown. Now she is sleeping as we watched Rashomon tonight. She might have made it through half of the movie before falling asleep.
I worked today. Woot. I had to get a tire and rim examined on the Subaru today as we blew a tire coming back from Buffalo last Sunday. I apparently ran over some mysterious thing as the tire looked like it suffered a small laceration. Unfortunately, the shop could not locate a cheap tire for it and I did not want to find one myself at a salvage place, so I will just stick a snow tire on it. Good thing I did not get rid of them yet.
Amanda graduated over the weekend, as one might gather from the previous entry (I should recap the weekend eventually). She’s the bomb. I was just telling my coworkers how much cooler she is than I, as these slightly fictional statements demonstrate:
DLJ25: Look, I can make fonts draw 0.03243% faster! And my (censored super dooper double secret project) works on the Arabic and Simplified Chinese versions of Windows 95! It should work on my cellphone too! Woot! Time for a nap!
ARK9: I pulled five bullets out of one guy, brought someone back to life after their heart stopped, and relieved countless peoples’ pain and suffering. All before 9am! I bet Darren is still snoring in bed with the piglet…
