Not really a recap

OK, so life has been zipping by me. Work simply does not stop, although I am happy to be gainfully employed at the moment. There are too many things to be done in work and personal life, which perhaps is a sign there is something wrong. Or perhaps something is right.
Amanda reached India safely, and it was startling that I could talk to her when she was on the opposite side of the planet. She has been eating a lot of indian food, as one might imagine. I am sad that she is gone, but the past week just flew by, and now she will be back in only three more. Maybe by then I will have completely unpacked and washed everything and dealt with all the house overhead.
Since I have been back, other than to copious amounts of work, I have sorted through vast quantities of mail, dealt with said mail, did many many life administrative tasks, washed a lot of laundry and bedding (but its all in a pile right now), investigated Corolla problems (it’s dead, Jim! Dead!), got all of Amanda’s honors thesis stuff together and sent it off, investigated Subaru problems (not dead yet, but getting there), restarted an intense workout program (I am in bad bad bad shape), lots of house cleaning and organization, washed and cleaned the Subaru, blah blah blah.
And sitting around doing nothing with the piglet… can’t leave that out. Almost as good as sleep! I reread the Lord of the Rings, too. Maybe I should sleep more instead.
On the agenda for tonight: more exercise, fish maintenence, work (it does not end), laundry folding, computer maintenence, yadda yadda yadda. Alright, I will be happy if I get my exercise in and waste a few ten year olds online on Halo 2, although the fish maintenence has priority. I am having issues with readjusting to east coast time, so I might try staying up all night to wrap around my schedule. I have been going to bed around 6am and getting up at 10am, so one good allnighter plus a bedtime of 9pm might do the trick.
I miss all the inexpensive asian food that was around the corner in San Francisco. One of the benefits of living in the Big City. Maybe I will go home and have some rice and lentils plus a mexican hot chocolate with irish creme.
Amanda will be back in 22 days!
