there is almost a full lunar eclipse right now…. i do not think i have seen a full lunar eclipse since i was in junior high. i seem to remember seeing a partial one more recently (i.e. sometime in the last ten years).
i actually had another entry that i tried to post yesterday, but i lost it before posting. ah, well.
actually, now the moon is fully covered. it looks like it is enveloped in a brownish red cloud. amanda claims that astronomers “never know what one will look like.” sounds lame to me. in the other full lunar eclipse i saw, the moon was completely blotted out. this one is still pretty cool, tho. it’s the kind of thing where one expects werewolves and whatnot to be prowling about.
