i cannot wait until this work milestone is done. of course, then another one will come along… but hopefully i will be better prepared for it.
amanda got back home at around noon perhaps after a few power naps at a rest area on the thruway. she was surprisingly lucid when i talked to her on the phone and complained about a fly that has been tormenting her and preventing her from going to sleep. i can attest to its annoying nature as it has bothered me for the past few days and has resisted my attempts to smash it. the fly is currently taunting me by resting on the edge of my notebook’s lcd panel.
eventually, amanda passed out regardless; she was completely out once i got home from work. she only woke up for a few minutes to eat a bit of lentils and rice i made for dinner before collapsing on the couch. piglet is now taking advantage of amanda’s position by stretching out on her belly to absorb as much heat as possible.
time to get a few more things done before taking a brief nap. maybe.
