there was much rain last night. there were many many many toads in the road when i drove home to brooktondale. i will call them toads instead of frogs because i really don’t know the difference; they were warty, so i will call them toads. i tried not to hit any of them, but it was difficult. i could see many squashed remains of some of the unlucky ones. i do not know why they were out and about last night; perhaps they got a little to flooded with all the rain.
i saw a skunk with a teeny baby skunk following behind; they vanished into the brush before i could find my camera, tho.
i have seen some suspicious looking wood shavings and large ants about the house. i will have to look into that when i get back next week.
vishal is supposed to be heading out to california this weekend, but he has not decided since he has not been able to get a confirmed date for someone to ship his car. he does not really have to stay for that, since he could just leave it at work here, but i do not know what his deal is. the ideal course of action (agreed upon by everyone here at work) would have been to just drive to cali over our long weekend last week (well, it wasn’t long for me). he would have been in cali and had his car immediately. he does not want to “waste” time driving across the country, tho, and does not appeared thrilled to do that long a drive anyway. of course, now he is “wasting” time dorking about here instead of in cali. vishal be a city boy, tho, and perhaps does not want to deal with the large emptiness which most of the united states is.
of course, the longer he stays, the more rent i can get from him, so i do not really mind all that much.
anyways, hopefully i will have the free time to write a monthly recap for last month. i have gotten way way behind.
