our corolla is leaking gas. it appears to be near the vicinity of the gas pump; hopefully, a seal is rotting out or something instead of the pump dying. the car’s gas mileage is definitely affected, and i had one hell of a time getting it started this morning. i am going to drop it off when i get back to buffalo since i also have to get the car inspected, and i do not want to be trapped in ithaca. of course, all of this is dependent on the car not blowing up (figuratively and literally).
my old cressida’s gas pump died at one point, too. the services guys said that it had a hole in it. i could believe that because i discovered the problem when i looked out my rear mirror and saw the line of gasoline decorating the road behind me. could barely got it to the garage in time; i could see the gas gauge dropping before my eyes (just like in the movies!).
