i was way way tired driving back home to buffalo tonight, so i took a nap at the first rest area on the thruway. i only ended up sleeping about half an hour before heading out again. lainie was amused/shocked at this behavior, and wondered what i would have done if i had slept until the next morning. amanda and lainie were not home when i arrived; they were “walking their way to objectification.” i ended up doing lifting, added more green stuff from the yard to the compost, looking for the piglet outside, and washing dishes.
eventually, amanda and lainie came back from their walk (close to five miles probably), and we headed out to hannah’s frozen treats for a snack. apparently it is the only place in buffalo to get frozen yogurt. they got cones with sprinkles while i got a banana split shake. it actually did taste like a melted banana split.
we went home, and now i am thinking about working more. amanda is doing some type of work. i think it has finally gotten cool enuf to take a shower without immediately getting hot and sweaty afterward. it has been quite hot and humid here.
the son of amos, our landlord’s handyman, who i guess also helps maintain their properties, came by to fix the ceiling fan in the workroom. unfortunately, he got a living room style one with four lights instead of one main one, so he left to return the fan, and he will return tomorrow with a new one.
so what has happened the past few days? i have been working like hell. i was only in ithaca for one night. the house in brooktondale is very nice. traian bought four racing tires for his jetta as racing is his new passion (formerly it was flying). the fedex guy just dumped them in his cubicle, which, of course, barely was big enough for all of them. well, actually, it wasn’t big enough for all of them. um, i a guess the past few days have not been too exciting, i guess.
