after getting riffed a few weeks ago, my coworker don has very quickly found a new job. riffed = “reduction in force”; my workplace no longer uses the hrspeak word “redeployment” anymore for some reason. he was one of the apparently three percent of people (in our company) that managed to find another job within the company. he will be moving the manchester, new hampshire, tho. he wanted to move someplace warm, but at least he’ll be able to catch a lot of baseball. too bad he’s a yankee fan; they won’t like him in red sox land.
